Maria Theresa, Healing Arts Practitioner, will support your movement into your healthful Self by playing a set of 7 Chakra Bowls. The Bowls offer powerful vibrational healing. Each one is precisely tuned to its corresponding chakra. The purity of the chakra tones deeply absorbs into the organs of the dense-body supporting the reintegration and balancing of Well-Being of the mind-body-spirit.

Join us for romance and fun as Certified Thai Yoga Therapist Dia Wong teaches the art of Thai Yoga Massage. This art is wonderfully bonding and sensual (as well as therapeutic) for lovers. You will learn how to pamper your loved one with a seated massage, a sensual hand and foot massage, and Dia’s signature head, shoulders and neck routine. Please wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat and blanket.
Tea, juices and snacks are provided, and each couple will receive a gift bag of chocolate, sensual massage oil and a sample of Sustain’s signature Sexual Energy Tonic to take home.

Enlightenment is not about practice or postponement, diet, austerity, karma or atonement; but totally know you at-one-ment in this moment. This evening gathering will consists of a simple understand and some direct pointers to realize and maintaing this natural blissful being.
Bernard Gunther, Ph.D. was of the people who helped start the Esalen Institute, in Big Sur. He is the author of many popular works including “Energy Ecstasy,” “The Power of Meow,” and the “Enlightenment CD.” He is currently awareness counseling in San Diego.

Friday, January 8 – Meditation with Patience Ulstad
This meditation is meant to facilitate bringing more of what we want into our lives and less of what we do not. It is grounded in three basic premises; 1) we are all connected; 2) what we focus on expands; 3) we are the primary initiators in creating our life experiences. This is a guided relaxation/meditation followed by a short silent meditation and closed with open sharing of what you experienced during the meditation (sharing is optional.)
Please wear comfortable clothes.

Wednesday, January 20 – Stop Smoking with Dia Wong
In this 90 minute class, we will talk about essential strategies to help you stop smoking naturally. A former smoker of 15 years, Dia will dispel common quitting myths, give you effective tools to beat addiction and introduce our Smoking Cessation program including the NADA acupuncture protocol and herbal formulas that can help curve cravings.

Thursdays, January 21 – February 11 – Balance Workshop with Life Coach Joan Jackson

Most of us play numerous roles: Wife, Husband, employee, Partner, Parent, caretaker, etc. With so much to do, it is easy to become imbalanced. This workshop will help you determine your self-expectations, redefine goals and responsibilities and learn to reduce stress by incorporating balance into your lives.
This is a 4 week program meeting on Thursdays from 6:30 – 8:00 pm Tuition: $125.00 
Saturday, January 23 – THE BODY, THE ENERGY BODY AND THE BLISS BODY with Bernard Gunther, Ph.D.
Our journey will begin with deep relaxation, re-sensitization and sensory celebration
of the physical form. We will next move into facilitating greater awareness of the chakras, the healing invisible energy and the radiant subtle body. In our last session we will experience how to access and maintain that formless silent center of expansive bliss, the beingness, that is your perennial spiritual connectedness. In this workshop you will learn methods for quieting the mind, invigorating energy, heighten awareness, effortless focus and profound inner/outer harmony.

Wednesday, January 27 – Detoxification with Dave McKinnon
Each year, more than 4 billion pounds of toxic chemicals are released into the environment, which can accumulate in the body and impact overall health. We will provide simple eating and exercise strategies to help the body stay healthy and lower inflammation as well as educate attendees on the benefits of Cleansing and detoxification.

Friday, January 29 – Warrior Meditation with Dave McKinnon
- Learn the Kung Fu (great skill) of the Yii Jii Jing (Muscle Tendon Changing Classic) Yoga.
- Stretch and strengthen the tendons, muscles and bones of the body.
- Gently massage the internal organs and energetic channels of the body.
- Clear toxins and stimulate the connective and endocrine systems of the body.
- Learn to quiet the inner ego through mediation while expressing the physical nature of the body through movement and posture.
This form of exercise if excellent for those that spend most of their days sitting at a desk, those with poor concentration, ADD and ADHD children and teens as well as anyone looking for a new fun way to exercise and stay sharp. Open to Women, Men & Teens.
6:30 – 7:30 pm Tuition: $14.00

Free First Fridays kick off with an open house: The first of many free treatment days will begin November 6th.
Sustain Community Acupuncture offers free acupuncture treatments the first Friday of each month as a way to build community around the clinic. We offer our patients a way to receive extra therapy or introduce a friends or family members to the medicine who may otherwise not have a chance to experience the healing modalities of Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs and Medical Massage.
Treatments are free but we do require new patients to pay the first time paperwork fee ($15) if they are new to the clinic. Walk in’s are welcome but we recommend you R.S.V.P.
